An Albatros D.V identified as Richthofen’s undergoes museum restoration. Said to be 2059/17, it has both similar and dissimilar features of that machine and thus may actually be several machines cobbled together to form one whole. Rear-quarter view of the Zeughaus Albatros D.V. No serial number is visible but the empennage does have diamond-shaped braces frequently seen on second production batch Albatros D.Vs, including 2059/17. If it is that airplane, it has been completely repainted and information placards have been applied directly to the fuselage.
