Toen mijn Staffel het vijandelijke squadron aanviel, viel ik persoonlijk het laatste vijandelijke vliegtuig aan. Onmiddellijk nadat ik mijn eerste schoten had gelost, begon het vliegtuig te roken. Na 500 schoten stortte het vliegtuig naar beneden en stortte tot splinters op de grond. Het gevecht was boven onze kant begonnen, maar de heersende oostenwind had de vliegtuigen naar het westen gedreven.
