\u201cGevechtsverslag: 1730 uur, tussen Bailleul en Gavrelle. BE tweezitter. Geen details aangezien vliegtuig op andere kant viel. Tijdens achtervolgingsvliegen (wolkenhoogte 1.000 meter) zag ik een artillerievlieger op 800 meter hoogte; naderde hem ongemerkt en viel hem aan, waarop hij rokend neerviel. De piloot ving de machine nog een keer op, maar verloor toen de controle op 100 meter. Het vliegtuig stortte neer tussen Bailleul en Gavrelle. NB De klokken waren weer verzet aan het Westelijk Front, de Duitse tijd liep vanaf deze datum weer een uur voor op de geallieerde tijd. Dit zou zo blijven tot 9 maart 1918.
