Carl Deilmann, pilote ayant vol\u00e9 avec la Jasta 6 au printemps et \u00e0 l’\u00e9t\u00e9 1917, \u00e9crivit ce qui suit au Dr Heinz Penzlin du journal \u00ab Die Welt \u00bb le 3 mai 1978, copie collection Bruno Schm\u00e4ling : \u00ab J’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 membre de la Jagdstaffel 6, rattach\u00e9e \u00e0 la Jagdgeschwader 1, pendant environ un an. Je suis parti en permission en juillet\/ao\u00fbt 1917. Avant mon d\u00e9part, j’ai remis trois victoires incontestables, accompagn\u00e9es des documents habituels (que je conserve encore aujourd’hui), au bureau de mon Staffel afin qu’elles soient transmises au Geschwader. \u00c0 mon retour, ces victoires avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 attribu\u00e9es \u00e0 d’autres. J’ai donc pris les documents correspondants sous le bras et je me suis pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 au commandant. J’ai retranscrit la conversation mot pour mot et je m’en souviens encore. J’ai parl\u00e9 au Rittmeister von Richthofen et lui ai demand\u00e9 de revoir les d\u00e9cisions concernant l’attribution des victoires. Sans m\u00eame regarder mon rapport, il m’a r\u00e9pondu s\u00e8chement : \u00ab Comment osez-vous remettre en question ma d\u00e9cision ! \u00bb.
