Lors d’une patrouille, j’ai d\u00e9tect\u00e9 des nuages d’\u00e9clats d’obus en direction de Cambrai. Je me suis pr\u00e9cipit\u00e9 et j’ai rencontr\u00e9 une escouade que j’ai attaqu\u00e9e peu apr\u00e8s 11 heures. J’ai rep\u00e9r\u00e9 la derni\u00e8re machine et j’ai tir\u00e9 plusieurs fois \u00e0 la plus courte port\u00e9e (dix m\u00e8tres). Soudain, l’h\u00e9lice ennemie s’immobilisa. La machine descendit en planant et je la suivis jusqu’\u00e0 ce que j’aie tu\u00e9 l’observateur qui n’avait pas cess\u00e9 de tirer jusqu’au dernier moment. A pr\u00e9sent, mon adversaire descendait en d\u00e9crivant des virages serr\u00e9s. A environ 1 200 m\u00e8tres, une deuxi\u00e8me machine allemande est arriv\u00e9e et a attaqu\u00e9 ma victime jusqu’au sol avant d’atterrir \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l’avion anglais.
