De retour d’une conf\u00e9rence avec le Jasta Boelcke, j’ai rep\u00e9r\u00e9 un avion d’artillerie ennemi \u00e0 2 000 m\u00e8tres d’altitude, \u00e0 l’ouest de Loos. J’ai attaqu\u00e9 l’ennemi et me suis approch\u00e9 de lui sans me faire remarquer jusqu’\u00e0 une cinquantaine de m\u00e8tres. Apr\u00e8s plusieurs centaines de tirs, l’avion s’est \u00e9cras\u00e9, tombant dans nos tranch\u00e9es. Le pilote a \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9 en vol, l’observateur gri\u00e8vement bless\u00e9 \u00e0 l’atterrissage.
