\u00ab Rapport de combat : 1700 hrs, au-dessus des tranch\u00e9es \u00e0 l’ouest de Vimy. BE biplace. Pas de d\u00e9tails, car l’avion a atterri entre les lignes. J’avais rep\u00e9r\u00e9 un avion d’infanterie ennemi. Plusieurs attaques dirig\u00e9es d’en haut n’ont donn\u00e9 aucun r\u00e9sultat, d’autant plus que mon adversaire n’acceptait pas le combat et \u00e9tait prot\u00e9g\u00e9 d’en haut par d’autres machines. Je suis donc descendu \u00e0 700 m\u00e8tres et j’ai attaqu\u00e9 mon adversaire, qui volait \u00e0 900 m\u00e8tres, par le bas. Apr\u00e8s un court combat, l’avion de mon adversaire a perdu ses deux ailes et est tomb\u00e9. L’appareil s’est \u00e9cras\u00e9 dans le no man’s land et notre infanterie lui a tir\u00e9 dessus.
