Au cours du combat, j&rsquo;ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 \u00e9carter un biplace Vickers que j&rsquo;ai ensuite abattu apr\u00e8s 800 coups de feu. Sous le feu de mes mitrailleuses, l&rsquo;avion perdit son fuselage ajour\u00e9. Les occupants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9s et enterr\u00e9s par le commandant local \u00e0 Oppy.
