\u00ab\u00a0Rapport de combat : 2130 hrs, au nord d’Ypres. Spad monoplace. J’ai attaqu\u00e9, avec plusieurs de mes hommes, un escadron monoplace ennemi du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l’ennemi. Pendant le combat, j’ai tir\u00e9 sur un Spad quelque 300 coups \u00e0 la plus courte distance. Mon adversaire n’a pas commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 s’incurver et n’a rien fait pour \u00e9chapper \u00e0 mes tirs. L’avion a d’abord commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 fumer, puis il est tomb\u00e9, tournant et retournant au sol, \u00e0 deux kilom\u00e8tres au nord d’Ypres, sans avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 rattrap\u00e9.
