\u00ab\u00a0Rapport de combat : 1315 hrs. Hof Struywe, Square V.42., de ce c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la ligne. RE2 (br\u00fbl\u00e9). Accompagn\u00e9 de mon Staffel, j’ai attaqu\u00e9 \u00e0 2.500 m\u00e8tres au nord d’Ypres, de ce c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la ligne, un RE d’artillerie anglais. J’ai tir\u00e9 \u00e0 la plus courte distance quelques 200 coups, puis j’ai survol\u00e9 l’avion ennemi. A ce moment-l\u00e0, j’ai remarqu\u00e9 que le pilote et l’observateur \u00e9taient tous deux morts dans leur machine. L’avion continuait sans tomber, en d\u00e9crivant des courbes incontr\u00f4l\u00e9es vers le sol. Pouss\u00e9 par le vent, il est tomb\u00e9 dans la ferme de Struywe o\u00f9 il a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 br\u00fbler apr\u00e8s avoir touch\u00e9 le sol.
