Vers 12h30, j’ai attaqu\u00e9, au-dessus du bois de Moreuil, un RE anglais \u00e0 une altitude de 800 m\u00e8tres, directement sous les nuages. Comme l’adversaire ne m’a vu que tr\u00e8s tard, j’ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 l’approcher \u00e0 moins de 50 m\u00e8tres. A dix m\u00e8tres, je lui ai tir\u00e9 dessus jusqu’\u00e0 ce qu’il commence \u00e0 br\u00fbler. Lorsque les flammes ont jailli, je n’\u00e9tais plus qu’\u00e0 cinq m\u00e8tres de lui. Je pouvais voir comment l’observateur et le pilote se penchaient hors de leur avion pour \u00e9chapper au feu. L’appareil n’a pas explos\u00e9 en l’air mais a br\u00fbl\u00e9 progressivement. L’appareil n’a pas explos\u00e9 en l’air mais s’est progressivement consum\u00e9. Il est tomb\u00e9 sans contr\u00f4le sur le sol o\u00f9 il a explos\u00e9 et s’est consum\u00e9 en cendres.
