Das Serienmodell, von dem nur wenige Exemplare gebaut wurden, war die D.II mit dem leistungsst\u00e4rkeren Mercedes D.II-Motor und einem Fl\u00fcgelk\u00fchler anstelle der urspr\u00fcnglichen, an der Nase montierten Einheit. Diese waren ab Juni 1916 einige Monate im Einsatz, bevor sie durch die D.III ersetzt wurden, die sich haupts\u00e4chlich durch ihre gr\u00f6\u00dferen hornbalancierten Querruder und einen 89 kW (120 PS) starken Argus AS.II-Reihenmotor unterschied. Einige wenige D.IV wurden f\u00fcr die T\u00fcrkei mit zwei Kanonen und dem 112 kW (150 PS) starken Benz Bz.III gebaut, und die D.V von 1917 war ein weiterentwickelter Typ mit einem stromlinienf\u00f6rmigeren, mit Sperrholz verkleideten Rumpf und dem As.II-Motor.
