F. Bird, gefangen genommen, unverwundet.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aus Jagd in Flandrens Himmel, Bodenschatz:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8222;Achtunvierzig Stunden sp\u00e4ter gibt es einen tollen Tag. Der Rittmeister beginnt ihn, trotz Ziffer II und umliegender Befehle, die seine Person betreffen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Um 7.35 ger\u00e4t er mit einem au\u00dferordentlicher tapferen Gegner zusammen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8222;Mit 5 Flugzeugen der Staffel 11 in einen Geschwaderkampf mit Sopwith-Einsitzern verwickelt, griff ich in 3500 m H\u00f6he einen der Gegner an und zwang ihn nach ziemlich langem Kurvenkampf bei Bousbeque zur Landung. Ich hatte unbedingt die \u00dcberzeugung, einen sehr gewandten Flieger vor mir zu haben, der sich auch in 50 m H\u00f6he noch nicht ergab, wieder scho\u00df, undnoch beim Ausschweben eine Kolonne unter Feuer nahm, dann absichtlich seine Machine gegen einen Baum rollte.
