\u201eGefechtsbericht: 0755 Uhr. Gegen 0755 Uhr verfolgte ich, begleitet von vier Flugzeugen der Staffel 11, einen kleinen Flug von Nieuports. Nach einer langen Verfolgungsjagd griff ich einen Gegner an und schoss nach einem kurzen Kampf seinen Motor und seinen Treibstofftank ab. Das Flugzeug geriet ins Trudeln. Ich verfolgte es bis knapp \u00fcber dem Boden, gab ihm noch einen Schuss, so dass das Flugzeug s\u00fcdwestlich des Houthulst-Waldes abst\u00fcrzte und direkt in den Boden einschlug. Als ich etwa 50 Meter hinter ihm war, durchquerte ich eine Gaswolke, die von der Explosion herr\u00fchrte, so dass es f\u00fcr einen kurzen Moment schwer zu sehen war.
