„Gefechtsbericht: 1610 Uhr, \u00fcber den Sch\u00fctzengr\u00e4ben s\u00fcdwestlich von Lens. Keine Angaben, Flugzeug fiel auf die gegnerische Seite.<\/p>\n

Gegen 1610 Uhr griff ich mit sieben meiner Flugzeuge ein feindliches Geschwader westlich von Lens an. Das Flugzeug, das ich ausgew\u00e4hlt hatte, fing nach 150 Sch\u00fcssen, die aus einer Entfernung von 50 Metern abgegeben wurden, Feuer. Das Flugzeug st\u00fcrzt brennend ab. Der Insasse st\u00fcrzte in 500 Metern H\u00f6he aus dem Flugzeug. Unmittelbar nach dem Aufprall des Flugzeugs auf den Boden konnte ich eine schwere schwarze Rauchwolke aufsteigen sehen. Das Flugzeug brannte noch eine ganze Weile mit h\u00e4ufigem Aufflackern der Flammen.
