Ich hatte meinen Trupp verloren und flog allein, wobei ich seit einiger Zeit einen feindlichen Artillerieflieger beobachtete. In einem g\u00fcnstigen Moment griff ich die BE-Maschine an, und nach 200 Sch\u00fcssen brach der Rumpf der Maschine in zwei Teile. Das Flugzeug fiel rauchend in unsere Linien. Das Flugzeug liegt in der N\u00e4he des Waldes von La Folie westlich von Vimy, nur wenige Schritte hinter den Sch\u00fctzengr\u00e4ben.
