„\u2026Nach meiner R\u00fcckkehr fand ich einen Brief vor, in dem Manfred mitteilt, da\u00df er seine „liebe Jagdstaffel Boelcke“ verlie\u00dfe, um als F\u00fchrer die Jagdstaffel 11 in Douai zu \u00fcbernehmen. Die Zahl seiner Absch\u00fcsche ist auf 18 gestiegen. Als er den letzten Gegner niederrang, w\u00e4re er beinahe selbst das Opfer geworden.
