\u201eIch habe gerade die schmerzliche Nachricht vom Tod Ihres Bruders erhalten. Im Krieg wird man hart und unnachgiebig, aber dieser Schlag trifft mich mitten ins Herz. Sie wissen selbst, wie eng Ihr Bruder mit mir befreundet war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am letzten Nachmittag vor seinem Tod besuchte er mich hier in Avesnes le Sec, meinem neuen Flugplatz \u2013 voller Freude \u00fcber die Entwicklung unserer lieben alten Jagdstaffel B\u00f6lcke, die allein dank ihm wieder zu ihrer alten St\u00e4rke zur\u00fcckgefunden hatte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nun sind beide in Walhall vereint: Ihr gro\u00dfartiger Bruder und sein gro\u00dfer Meister, dem er von uns allen am n\u00e4chsten stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
